Steve Spurrier has a career coaching record of 199-75-2 heading into Saturday's game against huge underdog Alabama-Birmingham.

     He will become the 71st college coach to reach the 200-win mark if the Gameocks prevail, as is expected. USC is favored by 33 1/2.

     Frank Beamer has 253 career wins and Mack Brown 229. They are the only active coaches with 200-plus Division I wins.

      The Gamecocks are seeking a seventh straight win. USC won seven straight spanning 1958 and 1959 and nine straight during the Black Magic 1984 season.

      South Carolina is 22-7 since the beginning of the 2010 season and has won 13 of 15 games.
