USC baseball coach Ray Tanner said he wants to hear more details about the possible partnership between college baseball and Major League Baseball.
Tanner said he has talked with major league reps about the possibility of an agreement.
MLB would fund one scholarship for teams fully vested in baseball, but that would be earmarked for a minority player.
Diversity, working with college on the timing of the draft, involvement in summer leagues and a possible move to wooden bats are the prime goals for MLB.
